Job summary

BMS CAT, a leading provider of disaster restoration since 1948, seeks an Operations Restoration Lead Technician in Houston to oversee water damage mitigation and full-service restoration projects.

You will perform high-quality mitigation, lead a work crew, ensure safety and efficiency, and follow company drying guidelines. This role requires physical stamina, strong communication, and a willingness to participate in on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• IICRC certification preferred, but not required.
• 2 years of experience in restoration.
• Water restoration and structural drying knowledge.
• Ability to lead and direct a crew.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Lift 50–100 pounds regularly, with assistance.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving history.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality water mitigation services.
• Water extraction.
• Perform demolition tasks.
• Clean up and debris removal of drywall, cabinetry, and flooring that may be damaged.
• Place and monitor drying equipment.
• Follow company guidelines for proper drying techniques.
• Set up the van at the job site using the proper set-up procedures.
• Setting up containment, decontaminating, setting up/monitoring remediation equipment.
• Perform job cleanup and breakdown.
• Effectively lead a work crew.

Operations Restoration Lead Technician

Job Duties

Effectively perform all water damage mitigation and restoration services the company offers such as:

• Perform high quality water mitigation services


• Water extraction


• Perform demolition tasks


• Clean up and debris removal of drywall, cabinetry, and flooring that may be damaged


• Place and monitor drying equipment


• Follow company guidelines for proper drying techniques


• Set up the van at the job site using the proper set-up procedures


• Setting up containment, decontaminating, setting up/monitoring remediation equipment


• Perform job cleanup and breakdown


• Effectively lead a work crew

Requirements

• IICRC certification preferred, but not required


• 2 years of experience in restoration


• Water restoration and structural drying knowledge


• Ability to lead and direct a crew


• Good communication and organizational skills


• Lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance


• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)


• Participate in our on-call rotation work schedule


• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving history
