Job summary

BMS CAT & Blackmon Mooring is seeking a field technician in San Antonio, TX, to perform water damage mitigation and restoration tasks. You will handle extraction, debris removal, and setup of drying equipment while coordinating with a crew on various job sites.

The role requires lifting up to 100 pounds, climbing ladders, and working in tight spaces. On-call work rotations and a valid driver’s license are required, with compensation discussed during interview.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving history.
• Physical ability to lift 50–100 pounds and work in tight or elevated spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality water mitigation and extraction.
• Carry out demolition and debris removal as needed.
• Set up containment and monitor drying equipment per guidelines.
• Lead a work crew to complete tasks efficiently.
• Prepare the job site and drive the crew to each location.

Job Duties:

Effectively perform all water damage mitigation and restoration services the company offers such as:

• Perform high quality water mitigation services
• Water extraction
• Perform demolition tasks
• Clean up and debris removal of drywall, cabinetry, and flooring that may be damaged
• Place and monitor drying equipment
• Follow company guidelines for proper drying techniques
• Set up the van at the job site using the proper set-up procedures
• Setting up containment, decontaminating, setting up/monitoring remediation equipment
• Perform job cleanup and breakdown
• Effectively lead a work crew

Requirements:

• IICRC certification preferred, but not required
• Experience in water mitigation
• Lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Participate in our on-call rotation work schedule
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving history

Compensation:

Company paid Life Insurance, optional Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance is available, 401 (k) plan, generous paid time off, and much more.

Compensation will vary based on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.

Base Pay Maximum: $22

Base Pay Minimum: $17
