Job summary

BMS CAT in Smyrna, GA is seeking a water mitigation technician to perform water damage mitigation and restoration, water extraction, demolition, cleanup, and to set up and monitor drying equipment at job sites.

Requirements include IICRC certification preferred, ability to lift 50–100 pounds, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and a valid driver’s license. On-call rotation is required.

Qualifications

• IICRC certification preferred but not required.
• Experience in water mitigation.
• Lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and work in tight spaces (crawl spaces, attics).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving history.
• Participate in our on-call rotation work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality water mitigation and restoration services.
• Water extraction.
• Perform demolition tasks.
• Clean up and debris removal of drywall, cabinetry, and flooring that may be damaged.
• Place and monitor drying equipment.
• Follow company guidelines for proper drying techniques.
• Set up the van at the job site using the proper setup procedures.
• Perform job cleanup and breakdown.
• Effectively lead a work crew.
