Job summary

Pollo Tropical is seeking team members in Miami to assist with food preparation, service, and maintaining a clean, welcoming dining environment. You will greet guests, prepare and portion meals, operate kitchen equipment, and support cash handling at the counter with attention to safety and sanitation.

The role requires the ability to multitask in a busy setting, communicate clearly with guests and coworkers, and comply with beverage laws where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to greet and thank customers and take orders.
• Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet and thank customers.
• Place customer food and beverage orders through verbal communication and/or automated systems.
• Relay customer food and beverage orders from service counter to kitchen operations.
• Cook, prepare, package and pour food and beverages using kitchen equipment and proper food safety.
• Stock kitchen and customer service operations with necessary materials.
• Fill food and beverage orders as part of the kitchen and service operations.
• Collect customer payments and return change at the register.
• Unload deliveries of food, beverages and supplies to the restaurant.
• Clean interior and exterior of the restaurant; sweep, mop, wipe surfaces.
• Observe alcoholic beverage laws when applicable.
• Maintain safe public access to the restaurant.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
