Job summary

Avolta is seeking a Manager I in Elizabeth, NJ to support branch management in executing QSR-style restaurant operations. The role ensures the restaurant is clean, staffed, and operates to high standards, using prescribed policies to guide decisions.

The position involves opening/closing procedures, supervising associates, staffing, scheduling, cash handling, and maintaining safety and cleanliness. It reports to the GM or Operations leadership and requires relevant supervisory experience in food

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 2 years food & beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience
• Requires a minimum of 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen
• Requires the ability to read, comprehend instructions, and policy documents, and converse comfortably with customers

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per company policies
• Assists AGM/GM by supervising day-to-day activities of associates in the unit
• Participates in interviews, provides input on hiring, promotions or terminations
• Assigns work tasks, prepares schedules, ensures shifts are covered
• Ensures mandated rest breaks and meal periods are taken by associates
• Keeps display areas clean, stocked and visually appealing
• Ensures all equipment is in good working order
• Operates the cash register and handles transactions per cash handling policies
• Monitors compliance with wellness and safety procedures and reports concerns
• Performs Health and Safety activities per the Health & Safety guidelines
• Places orders, receives goods and processes invoices
• Maintains current contact information for all associates in the restaurant
