Whataburger is seeking a Shift Leader to drive operational excellence and lead a high‑performing team. You’ll coach Family Members, manage shifts, and uphold food safety while delivering great guest experiences.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, and teamwork across daily operations within your home restaurant. You’ll work with a supportive management team, pursue career development, and contribute to a fast-paced environment with competitive weekly pay and benefits that support growth

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• HS diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• Open availability, including overnights, weekends, holidays, variable hours, and dependable attendance.
• Stand up to 10 hours, lift up to 55 lbs, and meet physical demands.
• Experience coaching or leading teams; strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Possess ServSafe Food Certification (or ability to obtain during training).

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Coach, train, and motivate Family Members—helping new hires ketchup quickly and seasoned pros turn up the heat.
• Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, sales performance, and basic inventory processes.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance requirements.
• Foster teamwork, communication, accountability, and a positive work culture.
• Prepare, lead, and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
