Job summary

Hoogland Restaurant Group seeks a shift leader to guide a team, maintain top product quality and service, and drive sales while controlling costs. You will supervise staff, assist with production and store promotions, and ensure smooth opening/closing with secure deposits and cash handling.

Ideal candidates are customer‑focused, capable of leading teams to deliver consistent performance, and at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead people, ensure outstanding product quality and guest service, and manage costs.

• Open/close shifts, maintain security, verify deposits, and ensure cash handling accuracy.
• Deliver great guest service and resolve complaints as they arise.
• Control labor, food costs, waste, and cash during shifts.

As the shift leader, you will lead people, ensure we execute outstanding product quality and customer service, build sales and control costs for the restaurant.

People

• Train team members on company processes, customer service, and updated policies and procedures to ensure we are a world class operation.

Sales and Product

• Ensure standards are maintained for product quality, service speed, cleanliness and sanitation.
• Manage and organize all positions each shift and delegates duties to team members.
• Support production as needed.
• Support local store marketing and promotions.

Leadership

• Open and close shifts without supervision.
• Ensure standards are maintained for product quality, service speed and quality, cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure proper security and verification procedures are met when handling deposits and the contents of the safe.
• Deliver great guest service every time and resolve customer complaints and issues as they arise.
• Control food costs, labor, waste, and cash while leading shifts.
• Responsible for accurate daily deposits and cash handling procedures.
