Job summary

Hoogland Restaurant Group is seeking a passionate shift leader to guide a Marco’s Pizza team in a fast-paced environment. You will drive service quality, lead a crew, and help manage costs while ensuring guest satisfaction and safety.

You’ll train staff, uphold standards, and support promotions as the company expands with new locations. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a commitment to exceptional hospitality.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

• Must be 18+ years of age and able to work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members to deliver outstanding product quality and guest service.
• Open and close shifts, delegate duties, and ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor deposits, cash handling, and security procedures daily.
• Assist with training, policy updates, and adherence to company processes.
• Support local promotions and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Control costs, waste, and labor while maximizing guest satisfaction.

As the shift leader, you will lead people, ensure we execute outstanding product quality and customer service, build sales and control costs for the restaurant.

People

• Demonstrate and reinforce Marco's leadership behaviors and values.
• Create an environment that promotes the company culture and philosophies to attract, retain and develop our people.
• Train team members on company processes, customer service, and updated policies and procedures to ensure we are a world class operation.

Sales and Product

• Ensure standards are maintained for product quality, service speed, cleanliness and sanitation.
• Manage and organize all positions each shift and delegates duties to team members.
• Support production as needed.
• Support local store marketing and promotions.

Leadership

• Open and close shifts without supervision.
• Ensure standards are maintained for product quality, service speed and quality, cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure proper security and verification procedures are met when handling deposits and the contents of the safe.
• Deliver great guest service every time and resolve customer complaints and issues as they arise.
• Control food costs, labor, waste, and cash while leading shifts.
• Responsible for accurate daily deposits and cash handling procedures.
