Summary of Position

A shift leader is empowered to support management in meeting restaurant goals through the implementation, management, and enforcement of company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards. It involves taking a hands-on leadership role in the restaurant to deliver the following to our Guests and Employees every shift:

• Hot Food, Served Fast, by Friendly People
• Outstanding Image and Cleanliness

Reporting Relationships

Reports directly to the General Manager or Manager on duty. Internally, there are extensive contacts with all levels of store personnel and home office departments. Externally, contacts include guests and distributors.

Position Activities and Tasks

• Ensure all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner, following all procedures, standards, and health regulations.
• Perform or assist in all functions for all positions as needed.
• Prepare for each shift through planning, inspection, and anticipation of challenges. Communicate expectations, assign work stations, and motivate the team.
• Lead the shift by maintaining standards, keeping the team positive and organized, and addressing issues promptly.
• Review shift results, ensure readiness for the next shift, and communicate with management about performance, guest concerns, and operational issues.
