Job summary

Shake Shack in Chicago is seeking a Restaurant Shift Leader to manage the flow of service, direct the work of team members, and uphold safety, cleanliness, quality and speed on every shift. You will help build and lead a high-performing team of hourly Team Members, assist with operational support functions, participate in applicant interviews, and support employee relations.

Starting hourly rate is $21.05–$25.05.

Qualifications

• 1 year of restaurant leadership experience supervising a team.
• Food Safety Certification according to local jurisdiction.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of service and direct the work of team members on a shift to ensure the highest levels of safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed.
• Help build and lead high performing team of hourly Team Members.
• May assist with operational support functions (i.e. Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, etc.)
• Participates in applicant interviews and assists with employee relations.
