Job summary

BENCHMARK in Westlake, Texas is seeking a Server to provide excellent service in a full-service restaurant setting. The role involves taking orders, assisting guests, and ensuring cleanliness and organization of the dining area.

Compensation is $19.85 per hour with benefits including holiday pay, vacation days, and medical insurance. Ideal candidates will have a friendly demeanor and prior serving experience. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

Job Overview

The Server will work in our full-service a-la-carte restaurants, providing prompt, courteous service to guests and maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant front of house. This position is paid a base hourly rate with no tips.

Key Responsibilities

• Interact with guests to take drink and food orders.
• Assist guests with menu knowledge in making selections.
• Ensure the dining space is organized, set to standard, and maintained throughout service.
• Perform side work such as polishing silverware, rolling silver, cleaning side stations, vacuuming, and more.
• Enter orders on a point-of-sale system, present checks to guests, and take payment.
• Anticipate guest needs, manage multiple tables effectively, and prioritize safety regarding food allergies.
• Clear and reset a section quickly during peak dining hours to maximize table turnover.
• Be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• Likes to smile and talk to people.
• Full-service or a-la-cuisine serving experience highly preferred.
• Beverage knowledge desirable.
• Experience with F&B point-of-sale system desirable.
• Food safety certification and Texas alcohol beverage certification required within 30 days of starting and must be recertified as needed.

Compensation

$19.85 per hour (flat rate), no tips.

Work Location & Schedule

Benchmark Hospitality at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center, Westlake, Texas. Full-time schedule on 1st and 2nd shift.
