Job summary

Benchmark Hospitality at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center is seeking a Banquet Server for part-time evening shifts with some weekends in Westlake, TX. The role involves setting up banquet rooms, serving and bussing tables, and tearing down spaces after events.

You will assist with bar service, handle food safety within 30 days, and maintain a clean back hall and storerooms. Paid weekly with benefits after enrollment.

Position

Banquet Server – Part Time. Evening Shift and some weekends. Pay: $19 per hour, flat rate (no tips). Location: Benchmark Hospitality at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center.

Job Overview

The Banquet Server will set up and prepare banquet rooms for events, serve and bus tables, and clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of functions.

Responsibilities

• Set up for events, including draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, polishing silverware and glasses, and putting out table centerpieces.
• Serve and bus tables: picking up food from the back hall, carrying trays to the function location, serving food, and clearing the food from the tables.
• Bar duties for bartended events, including butler passing drinks and operating liquor, beer and wine bars.
• Break down: bussing tables, putting away dirty linen and centerpieces, and vacuuming.
• Cleaning of back hall and organizing storerooms.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• Likes to talk to people.
• Food & Beverage experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to carry large trays of food.
• Basic Food Safety Certification and Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission Certification required within 30 days of starting, and must be re-certified as needed.
