Job description

What you will be doing

• Obtain and assume responsibility for cash bank. Handle cash transactions accurately, quickly, carefully, and responsibly.
• Control guest checks to prevent loss, theft, or mishandling. Follow proper procedures regarding check issuance and control. Collect payment from guest/server. Accurately and efficiently count and give change to guest/server. Ensure the correct amount of cash is given on money transactions.
• Check MICROS machines to ensure they are set up with the proper menu. Have complete knowledge of the MICROS system (or register).
• Fill out floor plan by checking the station rotation chart. Assign side work schedule on the floor plan. Post the floor plan at the host stand.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• High work ethic and self-initiative, with the ability to work in high-pressure situations
• May be required to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
