Job summary

Under general supervision, you will greet customers, take orders, serve meals, handle payments, and keep the dining area clean and organized. The role requires basic cash handling, fluent English, a high school education or equivalent, and the ability to stand for long periods. You will memorize menu items and daily specials to enhance guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 3 months or longer of experience in a similar role.
• Strong customer service and cash-handling skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Able to stand long hours and carry items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and take food and drink orders, serving items and accommodating special requests.
• Remain attentive to guests throughout dining, meeting service standards.
• Complete restocking and sidework during opening/closing.
• Memorize menu items, recipes and daily specials to answer questions.
• Maintain cleanliness in restaurant, wait station and kitchen areas.
• Handle guest checks accurately and document orders.
• Receive payment and ensure accuracy of checks and payments.
• Attend pre-meal and departmental meetings.
• Respond to guest inquiries with timely, knowledgeable information.
• Present a clean, professional appearance; maintain friendly demeanor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
