Job summary

Hook It Up Fish & Chips in Santa Fe is seeking friendly servers to welcome guests, take and serve orders, and help keep the dining area clean and ready for the next guest.

This fast-paced, casual environment values teamwork and hospitality, with a focus on accurate order taking, prompt service and attentive guest care. The role includes food safety and responsible alcohol service responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable and comfortable interacting with guests.
• Ability to provide efficient service while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the restaurant for extended periods.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• New Mexico Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain within the required timeframe.
• New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit required when serving alcoholic beverages.
• Previous restaurant or serving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their experience.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the point‑of‑sale system.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring order accuracy and presentation.
• Answer menu questions and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Check in with guests throughout their meal and respond quickly to additional requests.
• Process guest payments accurately and follow established cash‑handling procedures.
• Clear used baskets, trays, dishes and other service items from tables as guests finish.
• Wipe, sanitize and reset tables to keep the dining area clean and ready for incoming guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout guest-facing and service areas.
• Communicate with the kitchen and other team members to support smooth, efficient service.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation and responsible alcohol service requirements.
• Assist teammates and support overall restaurant operations during busy service periods.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by your direct supervisor, Executive Chef/Owner.
