Job summary

Hook It Up Fish & Chips in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a reliable Steward/Dishwasher to support a fast-paced kitchen. You will wash dishes, keep the area clean, and assist the kitchen during busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically active work.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Previous restaurant or stewarding experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout dishwashing and kitchen areas.
• Keep cooks and service teams stocked with clean dishes and equipment.
• Remove trash and maintain designated waste and recycling areas.
• Clean floors, work surfaces and kitchen equipment as assigned.
• Properly use and store cleaning chemicals according to safety standards.
• Assist with basic kitchen cleaning and closing duties.
• Follow all sanitation, food safety and workplace safety procedures.
• Support the kitchen team wherever needed during busy service periods.
• Help maintain a clean, safe and efficient work environment.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by your direct supervisor, Executive Chef/Owner
