Summary of Position
Provides friendly and efficient service in a timely manner to guests according to company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards. Shows guests genuine hospitality while providing them with a memorable experience. Looks professional and shows sincerity with a positive, friendly attitude. Performs all duties to maximize guest satisfaction and quality of work environment as directed by Manager on Duty.
Position Activities and Tasks
- Guest Interactions
- Reports to work well-groomed, in a clean and proper uniform, practicing good personal hygiene at all times.
- Greets guests courteously and respectfully when seated at station.
- Welcomes guests immediately upon seating with a non-scripted greeting.
- Uses acquired menu knowledge to offer suggestions, answer questions, and anticipate guests’ needs.
- Delivers hot food, checking orders for accuracy, appearance, and temperature, then delivering immediately.
- Provides Perkins Service with genuine hospitality, personality, and specific suggestions. Actively engages guests and remedies concerns to ensure 100% satisfaction.
- Maintains cleanliness of tables, stations, pantry line, and dining areas, completing assigned cleaning duties.
- Attends to guest needs or requests promptly.
- Pre-busses, details, and maintains the dining area.
- Prepares side work during downtime, such as rolling silverware, restocking stations, and bussing tables.
- Follows the service cycle and team responsibilities to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Communicates with management regarding issues and suggests solutions.
- Processes orders and operates POS systems per company policies.
- Ensures system functionality and corrects breakdowns to maximize guest satisfaction.
- Assists team members as needed.
- Maintains cleanliness of service stations, garnish line, service bar, and common areas.
- Restocks supplies and maintains cleanliness and organization.
- Runs food to ensure hot food is served hot.
