Job summary

Shift4 is seeking a day-to-day IT Support Specialist to assist merchants and internal users with hardware, software, and device configurations in Allentown. You will support Restaurant Manager's core POS product suite and help ensure smooth operations for a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Duties include diagnosing issues, recording requests in the help desk, installing and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, networks, iOS/Android devices, and software.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship not provided.
• Strong knowledge of Windows desktop OS and Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with restaurant POS applications or working in a restaurant is a MUST.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Willing to travel to client sites occasionally.
• Ability to work any assigned shift to cover a 24/7 operation.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to merchants on Restaurant Manager's core Point of Sale product suite.
• Diagnose and resolve computer problems and requests from users in a timely manner.
• Accurately record requests into the help desk system.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, including desktops, laptops, peripherals, network equipment, iOS (Apple) and Android devices.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot software packages, including operating systems, desktop software and custom applications.
