Job summary

The Abbey Resort in Fontana-on-Geneva Lake, WI, seeks a Restaurant Outlets Supervisor to lead daily restaurant operations under the Restaurant Outlet Manager. You will ensure service excellence, monitor inventories and payroll, and help coaching staff to maintain high standards in a fast-paced resort environment.

Ideal candidates will have at least one year of supervisory restaurant experience, strong organization, and solid English communication, with ServSafe certification in progress or

Responsibilities

• Ensure physical atmosphere and cleanliness of restaurant including tables and side stations.
• Assist in maintaining a smooth-running operation.
• Monitor food quality and service level.
• Monitor payroll and revenue.
• Provide a pleasant and efficient atmosphere for staff and guests.
• Assist in inventory control.
• Responsible for daily paperwork including payroll, inventory, etc.
• Assist staff with any problems that may occur.
• Proficiency with MS Office Word/Excel/Outlook and scheduling and POS systems.

Restaurant Outlets Supervisor at The Abbey Resort

JOB SUMMARY:

BASIC FUNCTION:

Restaurant Outlets Supervisors will be responsible for coordinating and carrying out the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, as set by the Restaurant Outlet Manager. These operations can take place in a fast-paced environment and can require you to make quick decisions under pressure. It is a very rewarding role, as you are ultimately responsible for delivering superior food and beverage service to maximize customer satisfaction. This position will allow the right candidate to enhance their F&B experience by learning operational tactics, forecasting revenue, inventory management, COGS (cost of goods sold) etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year restaurant experience.
• One-year supervisory experience.
• Ability to make quick decisions in high stress situations.
• Well organized.
• Command of the English language

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure physical atmosphere and cleanliness of restaurant including tables and side stations.
• Assist in maintaining a smooth-running operation.
• Monitor food quality and service level.
• Monitor payroll and revenue.
• Provide a pleasant and efficient atmosphere for staff and guests.
• Assist in inventory control.
• Responsible for daily paperwork including payroll, inventory, etc.
• Assist staff with any problems that may occur.
• Computer skills and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, including Word, Excel and Outlook including Calendar management, Open Table, Adobe Acrobat, POS Systems (i.e. SMS Teres). Exposure to scheduling, purchasing and point of sale systems
• Complete ServSafe Food Handler Certification
• Complete ServSafe Responsible Beverage Service Course – or proof of current certification (i.e. Basset)

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

• Effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
• Required to perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
• Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime or reduced hours.
• Cover all duties of Manager in that person’s absence.
• Assist Manager with hiring and training of all staff.

ENVIRONMENT:

Indoors & Outdoors, dimly lit, carpeted, climate-controlled environment. Hard kitchen floors with occasional slippery or greasy areas. Handling hot china and silver. Outdoors, cement surfaces, with exposure to outdoor climate and elements.
