Job summary

The Abbey Resort is seeking an enthusiastic Bartender to join our Food and Beverage team on the shores of Lake Geneva. If you love crafting cocktails and delivering guest-focused service, this part-time hourly role offers opportunities to grow with a hospitality leader.

Starting pay is $5.15 per hour plus tips, with benefits and development opportunities available. A strong knowledge of mixology and guest engagement will help you thrive in this energetic resort environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Responsible Beverage certification.
• Previous bartending experience in a high-volume environment.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits and cocktails.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to resort guests.
• Deliver exceptional guest service while creating a welcoming bar atmosphere.
• Maintain bar inventory, stock levels, and cleanliness standards.
• Process cash and transactions accurately following the guest experience.
• Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Support Food and Beverage operations as needed, including beverage service throughout the resort.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to resort guests
• Deliver exceptional guest service while creating a welcoming bar atmosphere
• Maintain bar inventory, stock levels, and cleanliness standards
• Process cash and transactions accurately following the guest experience
• Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Support Food and Beverage operations as needed, including assisting with beverage service throughout the resort

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Responsible Beverage certification (BASSET, ServSafe, or equivalent)
• Previous bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar, or resort environment
• Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, cocktails and mixology techniques
• Excellent guest service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
