Job summary

MGM Resorts International is seeking an Assistant General Manager - Restaurant in Springfield, MA. You will assist the General Manager in directing the Restaurant Service team, leading daily operations, managing budgets and staffing, and executing F&B initiatives to achieve financial and guest-service goals.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, health and safety knowledge, POS experience, and the ability to coach and develop a diverse team while maintaining exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Ability to execute guidelines for proper staffing to maximize efficiency and minimize labor costs.
• Excellent communication in English, both oral and written.
• Excellent customer service skills and leadership ability.
• Experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily restaurant operations, budgets, labor, scheduling and inventory to drive short-term profitability.
• Support General Manager with HR responsibilities including coaching, training, hiring, and succession planning; ensure diversity commitments and compliance.
• Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and address complaints; manage guest feedback channels.
• Oversee policies, procedures, staff training, menus, and health/sanitation standards; execute F&B initiatives and company programs.
• Maintain knowledge of venue's food and beverage offerings and equipment.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.
