Job summary

Burgermaster is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to assist in hiring and training staff, ensure excellent customer service, and manage daily operations. You will work with the Manager to cover callouts, conduct evaluations, and maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, relevant training, ServeSafe certification within a year, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Corporate training program completion preferred.
• Food handler permit required within 7 days of hire.
• ServeSafe certification required within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hiring and training restaurant staff.
• Work with Manager on callouts to ensure proper coverage.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience.
• Handle customer complaints in a diplomatic and courteous manner.
• Develop, train, and ensure a great place to work in collaboration with Manager.
• Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
• Handle discipline and termination of employees per restaurant policy.
• Review and manage communications in the Burgermaster corporate tool.
• Assist with end-of-day financial reconciliation.
• Oversee daily inspection of food preparation for health and hygiene standards.
• Submit maintenance requests for equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assists in managing the hiring and training of restaurant staff.
• Works with Manager in managing callouts to ensure proper coverage.
• Ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience.
• Handles customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner.
• Works with Manager to develop, train, and ensure a great place to work.
• Works with Manager to conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Works with Manager to handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with restaurant policy.
• Review and manage communications in our Burgermaster Corporate communication tool.
• Periodically assists with end of day financial reconciliation.
• Oversee and conduct daily inspection of food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
• Periodically evaluate and submit requests to the maintenance team for restaurant equipment repairs and maintenance
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous restaurant experience required; management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Successful completion of corporate training program required.
• Food handler’s permit required within 7 days of hire.
• ServeSafe certifications required within 1 year of hire to role

Work Environment

• Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
• Time divided between desk work, working in restaurant, and meetings.
• Must be comfortable working long hours, including nights and weekends.
