Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Restaurant Manager to support the General Manager by directing and supervising hourly staff in a full-service setting in Wichita, KS. The role involves maintaining operation standards and guest satisfaction during a 50–55 hour workweek.

You will train, schedule, monitor costs, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, all while leading by example in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of management experience in a full-service establishment.
• Experience in both back-of-house and front-of-house operations.
• Clear oral and written communication to all levels.
• Proficient use of restaurant equipment including calculators, cash registers, computers, ovens and knives.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and support to hourly employees and supervise operations.
• Train staff and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist in recruitment, selection, promotion, employee relations and scheduling.
• Coordinate preparation, cooking and packaging of food orders as needed.
• Monitor food cost and quality controls to reduce waste.
• Record and analyze cash flow, inventory movement, labor costs and cost of sales daily.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal health and safety regulations.
• Lead by example and assist as needed to reinforce teamwork.
