Job summary

Sunset Kai Lanai - Kailua-Kon in Kailua, Hawaii, seeks an experienced restaurant manager responsible for all aspects of cleanliness, labor, costs, production, maintenance and service of the restaurant.

You will coordinate staff, control food and labor costs, hire and train personnel, ensure sanitation and safety, address customer and employee concerns, and lead the team to meet or exceed budgeted expectations.

Qualifications

• Must meet the minimal criteria in background check.
• Must successfully complete in-house management training program.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Age requirements may apply in order to remain in compliance of State and Federal Law
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English, with the ability to communicate in Spanish helpful.
• Fundamental math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all restaurant operations, ensuring cleanliness, labor, costs, production, maintenance and service quality.
• Coordinate activities of staff across shifts and manage the team.
• Control the cost of purchased goods and labor to meet budgeted targets.
• Lead hiring, training, retention, motivation and termination of restaurant personnel.
• Ensure sanitation, safety and operational standards meet corporate or municipal requirements.
• Address and resolve customer and employee complaints.
• Manage administrative procedures to meet corporate expectations and drive profitability.
