Job summary

Pancheros Mexican Grill in Ames, IA seeks an experienced restaurant leader to supervise daily operations, ensure quality and compliance with standards, and drive guest satisfaction. You will hire, train and evaluate staff, manage schedules, and oversee financial controls and reporting.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety and sanitation, optimizing service speed, handling customer concerns, and marketing the restaurant locally. Fluency in English and professional appearance are required.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise restaurant operations to meet standards in service, food production, safety and sanitation
• Hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff; schedule attendance and monitor performance
• Forecast labor needs and manage scheduling to balance customer demand
• Monitor finances including cash handling, expenditures and revenue to meet budget
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction
• Lead a team of 3 to 10 employees per shift and assign tasks
• Ensure quality of prep, menu items and portion controls meet standards
• Uphold safety, sanitation, and cleanliness across all areas
• Monitor customer flow to reduce wait times and optimize service speed
• Market the restaurant within the community to boost brand awareness
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports and communicate results to stakeholders
• Maintain a professional appearance and effective communication in English
