Job summary

Logan's Roadhouse is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a single restaurant’s operations, driving sales, profitability, and guest experience. You will hire/train staff, enforce safety and sanitation standards, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

You will manage shifts, coach team members, handle cash controls, and collaborate with the General Manager to execute programs and maintain high service standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum two years restaurant management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must possess proper food handler and alcohol dispensing certifications.
• Maintains a calm, tactful demeanor in difficult situations.

Responsibilities

• Model hospitality by conducting 100% table visits of guests in the restaurant.
• Effectively handle guest complaints.
• Assist marketing techniques and research to attract new guests.
• Build positive, professional relationships with members of the community.
• Assist with staffing needs to maintain proper staffing levels; review applications, interview candidates, and training.
• Lead shift meetings and solicit feedback from team members.
• Provide performance feedback and coaching to hourly team members.
• Ensure proper submission and documentation of injuries/incidents.
• Communicate employee relations issues to HR.
• Manage shifts to achieve sales and profit goals (labor, COGS).
• Complete administrative manager functions and transactions.
• Adhere to SERV Safe Alcohol, Food, OSHA, HACCP standards and PCI.
• Conduct time punch audits and corrections.
• Roll out new programs, policies, and procedures.
• Unload/vendor receipts and rotate inventory.
• Ensure cost of sales aligns with targets.
• Oversee cash handling and banking deposits with accuracy.
• Report facilities concerns to Director of Operations and coordinate repairs.
• Coordinate bank runs for small bills/coins.
• Maintain vendor relationships for timely deliveries.
• Analyze sales data to meet revenue goals while controlling waste/labor.
• Safeguard team and facility with safety/security policies.
• Monitor food/bev preparation and quality per recipes/standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
