Job summary

Sage Restaurant Group at C. Baldwin Houston is seeking a Restaurant Operations Associate to assist the Restaurant Manager in all phases of operations.

The role ensures complete restaurant operation in the absence of the manager and supports staff to deliver excellent guest experiences. Responsibilities include supervising servers, maintaining standards, managing side-work, and coordinating with the manager on events and training.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience in related position typically 1–2 years.
• Advanced knowledge of food and beverage management principles.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor servers, runners, and other restaurant staff for adherence to service standards and SOPs.
• Supervise guest service and respond to guest signals for service.
• Assist manager with side-work and staffing coverage planning.
• Maintain cash bank and security per SOPs.
• Read and prepare daily shift communications and coverage plans.
• Check restaurant cleanliness and setup.
• Communicate daily with manager about events and house counts.
• Assist with menu classes and tastings for staff.
