Job summary

Rubio's Restaurant Group is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in delivering profitable operations and guest satisfaction. You will lead team members, manage staffing, training, safety, and guest relations while upholding Rubio's standards and CORE values.

The role involves daily P&L oversight, scheduling, vendor coordination, and coaching of staff to ensure exceptional service and operational excellence across shifts.

Qualifications

• Education: High School degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: Minimum of one-year restaurant or retail experience. Restaurant management experience preferred.
• Knowledge: Knowledge of all management aspects in the restaurant industry.
• Language Skills: Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, clearly communicating operational concerns with management and co-workers.
• Math Skills: Basic mathematical principles and practices for financial paperwork.
• Other: Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance; reliable transportation.
• Other Abilities: Ability to lead and coordinate a team; manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in controlling the P&L and meeting budgeted goals.
• Analyze local trade area and guest trends to grow business.
• Help manage vendor efficiency and quality standards.
• Interact with guests, resolve complaints, and coach team members.
• Prepare weekly team member schedules and staffing levels.
• Direct and coach staff on policies, safety procedures and performance.
• Document performance reviews and administer pay and disciplinary actions.
• Participate in ongoing training and company initiatives.
