Job summary

Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska, is seeking a Restaurant Manager for the Sitzmark Après Ski Bar this seasonal role from November 2026 to early May 2027.

The candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure top-notch dining experiences, and coordinate with multiple departments while maintaining safety and budget goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years’ experience in Food & Beverage management with strong knowledge of restaurant operation preferred.
  • Ability to write reports and present information to groups.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect establishment and observe workers and patrons for safety and liquor regulations.
  • Complete daily reports and assist in preparing departmental budgets.
  • Manage revenue, labor and operating expense goals.
  • Maintain standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Coordinate with other departments for occupancy, banquets, maintenance and uniforms.
  • Ensure adherence to resort customer service standards.

We’re looking for Restaurant Managerprofessionals to join our team in Girdwood, Alaska.

  • This is a seasonal management role for the Sitzmark Apres Ski Bar.
  • Expected Dates: November 2026-Early May 2027
What You’ll Do

As a Restaurant Manager you’ll play an essential role in daily operations and maintaining the high level of service that our guests expect with their dining experiences. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Inspects establishment andobservesworkers and patrons to ensure compliancewith occupational, health, and safety standards and local liquor regulations.
  • Complete daily reports,assistin preparing departmental budget.
  • Responsible foraccomplishingrevenue,laborand operating expense budget goals.
  • Ensure andmaintainstandards of food quality and presentation.
  • Maintain communication between other departmentson items such as occupancy levels,banquetsand special functions, housekeeping and maintenance, and laundry and uniforms.
  • Ensure adherence to all Resort customer service standards.

What We Need
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college, university, or degree from culinary institute; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years’ experience in Food & Beverage management with a strong knowledge of restaurant operation preferred.
  • Prior experience in a fine dining server position.
  • Work weekends & holidays on a flexible schedule.
  • Must have or be able to obtain within the introductory period a TAPS card and Food Handlers Card.
  • Ability towritereports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and thegeneral public.
