Who We Are…

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.

Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to be opening a Ned’s Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location.

The Property…

Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW.

The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-storey building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.

The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.

As the Restaurant Manager you will report to the Club Operations Manager and have an integral role within the Food & Beverage division:

  • Lead the outlet management teams in the Ned’s Club spaces, holding them accountable for all performance - commercial, operational, customer, and team
  • Lead a team truly commercial restaurant and bar managers, developing them towards high performance and coaching them to continually improve
  • Ensure our teams deliver outstanding food and drinks with unrivalled hospitality to each and every one of our members
  • Collaborate with the Club Operations Managers and F&B Director to set and own the departmental yearly budgets
  • Monitor Food and Beverage P&Ls, take a holistic view of our food and beverage operations and support your management teams to deliver financial performance, spotting improvement areas and actioning
  • Work in partnership with the Food and Beverage senior leadership on the departmental strategy, always looking at ways to increase revenue, customer satisfaction, and operational performance
  • Maintain all compliance in the venues, including health and safety
  • Build a high performing team through accountable managers, regular feedback, open conversations, and effective engagement activities

What you can bring to the role:

  • Proven experience as a leader in food and beverage, ideally with exposure to a members club or fine dining restaurant
  • You’ll have a commercial mindset and a proven track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences whilst exceeding targets
  • Impeccable leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and develop teams at all levels
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to switch between inspiring teams or representing your department to the executive team
  • Rapport building skills are essential for working in our Club spaces, every guest is a loyal member or a potential new member, so every interaction is needs to be exceptional and memorable
  • In our Club spaces you may be looking after high-profile people who value their privacy, so a degree of confidentiality is non-negotiable
