Job summary

BaseDynamics in Washington, DC, is looking for a Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, strong leadership skills, and a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the restaurant including opening and closing procedures
• Manage and schedule staff members including servers, cooks and other employees
• Train new employees on company standards and procedures
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
• Ensure that all health and safety regulations are being followed
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints and resolve any issues in a timely manner
• Create schedules for staff members based on business needs
• Conduct performance evaluations for employees
• Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure food quality and consistency
• Develop strategies to improve restaurant sales and profitability

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in the restaurant industry
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
