Job summary

Om Pizza Bar Café in Prince George, BC, is hiring a Restaurant Manager. Salary is $27.50 per hour for a 35‑hour work week. Full-time, permanent position. English required.

Two positions available. Education: college education in hospitality management. Work location at the stated address. Responsibilities include leading operations, planning budgets, promoting seasonal campaigns, monitoring service times and quality, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more of experience in food services industry.
• Good communication skills and ability to manage people.
• Available to work weekends, nights and mornings on a rotating schedule.
• Food safety course completed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operations by being an active, hands‑on team leader.
• Plan and budget restaurant sales and profitability with Area Operations Manager.
• Strategize and implement promotions based on season and market studies.
• Monitor service times, staff/customer interactions, food quality and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with management to identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor equipment use and maintenance.

Job duties for this position include:

• Ensuring smooth operations of the restaurant by being an active, hands-on team leader;
• Planning and budgeting restaurant sales and profitability in conjunction with the Area Operations Manager;
• Strategizing and implementing promotions based on season and market studies;
• Monitoring service times, staff/customer interaction, food quality and preparation, and restaurant cleanliness continually to ensure that operations standards are being met;
• Collaborating with the management team to identify deficiencies and opportunities, and implement strategies to improve overall service and customer satisfaction;
• Monitoring equipment use and maintenance.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• 2 years or more of experience in food services industry is required;
• Good communication skills, positive attitude to work and people management skills;
• Ideal applicant must be available to work on any scheduled, rotational or call in shifts which includes weekends, nights and mornings;
• Able to work under pressure and time constraint in fast paced environment;
• Candidate must have completed food safety course
