Job description

Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. There are also roles that require being on-site full time. Limited remote opportunities may be available within specific departments. You’ll learn more about this during the recruitment process.

Job Summary:

Manages the daily operations of a specific venue or location within the park. Responsible for high standards of efficiency, cleanliness, sanitation, and training. Manages the daily labor and non-labor budget, directs the workflow of both front of house and back of house teams, and resolves guest situations.

Major Responsibilities:
  1. Accountable for all facets of service, production, quality, and controls during daily operations. Ensures policies and procedures of the Food & Beverage department are followed. Responsible for all sales and transactions in compliance with procedures.
  2. Complete performance appraisals, training, and development of Team Members. Participate in Global Action Committees to enhance Team Member development and experience.
  3. Oversee schedules for service and production staff, ensuring alignment with forecasted business volume, and adjust as needed. Track labor hours and costs to stay within budget.
  4. Ensure all Team Members, facilities, and materials are ready for daily operation. Handle opening and closing duties, report repairs, and ensure compliance with health and beverage laws. Maintain venue inventory and monitor food, beverage, and non-labor costs.
  5. Monitor and coach hourly Team Members in FOH and BOH operations, providing feedback and recognition, or documenting performance issues.
  6. Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following policies, procedures, and training.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Food & Beverage preferred.
Experience:
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in Food & Beverage required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications:
  • Certified Professional Food Manager and Responsible Vendor certifications are preferred.
Additional Information:
  • This role involves managing a venue or area, such as a group of Food Carts.
  • Scheduled to open or close the venue during the week.
  • Responsible for guest safety by adhering to Food Safety policies and procedures.
