Job Brief & Preview

In alignment with Metrotainment Cafe's core values, this role contributes to achieving goals in restaurant sales growth, team member retention, guest satisfaction, cleanliness, sanitation standards, and profitability. Success is achieved through teamwork, collaboration, operational attention to detail, and self-accountability.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Adhere strictly to all standards outlined in the Operations Manual.
  2. Participate actively in shift management to enhance guest satisfaction and build guest loyalty.
  3. Provide constructive coaching and feedback to improve team performance and productivity.
  4. Foster a positive work environment by holding team members accountable and leading by example.
  5. Follow all selection and training protocols to ensure new hires are well-equipped for their roles.
  6. Monitor and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, taking immediate corrective action if needed.
  7. Take ownership of achieving product cost and labor goals.
  8. Complete administrative duties accurately and promptly.
  9. Willingly undertake tasks beyond current responsibilities when necessary.

Required Competencies & Qualifications

  1. Passion for quality food, beverages, hospitality, and restaurateurship.
  2. College coursework preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  3. Relevant work experience aligned with the position.
  4. Proven success in developing staff and meeting cost goals.
  5. Proficient in English communication; bilingual skills are a plus.
  6. Computer literate; familiar with restaurant management software and POS systems.
  7. Understanding of teamwork's role in delivering exceptional guest and team member experiences.
  8. Flexible, adaptable, and capable of handling stress positively.
  9. ServSafe Food Handlers Certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

  1. Ability to move throughout the restaurant (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods.
  2. Ability to lift, carry, and balance objects up to 50 pounds.
  3. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination; ability to work with hands above shoulders.
  4. Comfort with temperature variations and noisy environments.
  5. Ability to operate potentially hazardous equipment safely.
