Day Off Group is a Chicago-based restaurant group passionate about developing concepts that combine culinary excellence, impeccable service, and a high-energy atmosphere to create unique experiences.

We are hiring a Restaurant Manager for Rose Mary, a 125-seat Italian-Croatian restaurant by Top Chef winner Joe Flamm in Chicago’s West Loop. The ideal candidate is a strong, poised leader eager to foster growth, capable of performing calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment, skilled in multi-tasking and prioritization, and shares our passion for genuine hospitality, guest relations, and food and beverage.

  • At least 2 years of management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
  • Comprehensive operations experience, including managing the floor, overseeing staff, and monitoring the door.
  • Experience in training, coaching, supporting, and disciplining FOH staff.
  • Knowledge of fine dining service, including food and beverage, wine, guest relations, and service standards.
  • Ability to schedule staff considering team strengths, business needs, and budget.
  • Experience in opening and closing restaurants, including financial reconciliation and daily recap writing.
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge and awareness of Chicago’s restaurant scene.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends and late nights.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • State of Illinois Basset and Food Handlers Certifications; knowledge of sanitation laws.
  • At least 21 years old and authorized to serve alcohol in Chicago.
  • Additional certifications like Foodservice Manager are a plus; event experience is beneficial.
