Job summary

Mex 1 Coastal Cantina is seeking a full-time Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations, drive guest satisfaction, and uphold our dining standards. You will coach service and kitchen staff, ensure safety and sanitation, and promote our signature cocktails and guest experience throughout shifts.

The ideal candidate will help foster a welcoming atmosphere, manage peak service times, and maintain the Mexico-inspired menu journey that defines Mex1.

Responsibilities

• Seeks out and uses service-related guest feedback and takes appropriate action to continually improve the level of service, drive overall guest satisfaction, increase return visits and reduce guest complaints.
• Develops and implements plans to continually improve guest satisfaction in the areas of server attentiveness and table cleanliness.
• Concentrates on training service and kitchen personnel, to continually improve the guest experience.
• Ensures safety, sanitation and security guidelines are followed at all times and immediately resolves any items identified in inspections.
• Reinforces suggestive selling/menu journey behaviors by ensuring that guests are invited to starters, side orders, beverages and desserts as part of the Mex1 dining experience.
• Is responsible for maintaining the Mex1 Coastal Cantina standards of products, services and quality.
• Creates and fosters a culture to make margaritas and craft cocktails an integral part of every guest’s dining experience.
• Creates an atmosphere/vibe that ensures guests to feel welcome and wish to return.

Mex 1 Coastal Cantina, is inspired by our surf trips down the Baja Peninsula cruising down the Mex 1 highway, veering off towards the ocean on a small dirt road and manifesting perfect surf in the cove it leads to. The entire experience fueled by the light, fresh flavors of the Baja peninsula served up in the little cantinas that dot the coastline (and maybe just a bit of tequila)!
