Old Chicago Restaurants in Sioux City, IA seeks an Hourly Shift Supervisor / Department Manager to lead during peak hours, run pre-shift meetings, and ensure smooth station flow. This role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining operational standards.

You will train staff, manage service recovery with empathy, monitor safety and sanitation, and support opening/closing tasks, cash handling, and basic inventory controls.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1+ years in restaurant or hospitality, lead or training experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, basic math and cash handling, multitasking.
• Certifications: Valid food handler or ServSafe manager certification where required.
• Physical: stand/walk up to 8 hours, lift 25–30 lbs.

• Staff Coaching: train new hires, mentor team members in real time, enforce policies.

• Quality & Safety: monitor food temperatures, cleanliness, and health/sanitation code compliance.
• Operations Support: oversee opening/closing checklists, cash drawers, safe drops, track basic inventory.
