Old Chicago Restaurants in Sioux City is seeking an Hourly Shift Supervisor / Department Manager to lead shifts, coach staff, and ensure guest satisfaction. You will act as Manager-on-Duty, oversee opening/closing, and monitor quality and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in hospitality, strong communication, cash handling, and basic math skills, with ServSafe certification where required. This role offers opportunities for growth and requires physical stamina to stand and lift.

• Experience: 1+ years in restaurant or hospitality; lead or training experience preferred.

• Certifications: Valid food handler or ServSafe manager certification (where required).
• Physical: Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours and lift up to 25-30 lbs.

• Shift Leadership: Act as Manager-on-Duty, run pre-shift meetings, direct station flow, and manage peak-hour pacing.
• Staff Coaching: Train new hires, mentor team members in real time, and enforce company policies.
• Guest Relations: Greet customers, monitor satisfaction, and handle service recovery or complaints with empathy.
• Quality & Safety: Monitor food temperatures, cleanliness, and compliance with health and sanitation codes.
• Operations Support: Oversee opening and closing checklists, manage cash drawers and safe drops, and track basic inventory.
