Job summary

Smashburger is seeking a hands-on General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations in the Alexandria area. You will lead Restaurant Managers, Shift Leaders, and front-line teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high standards of food safety and operational performance.

You will manage staffing, training, onboarding, and performance, with a focus on labor and inventory control, cost management, and driving sales through scheduling and local outreach.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Restaurant General Manager experience.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Follow Smashburger uniform standards.
• Must successfully complete Smashburger training program.
• Strong communication skills with restaurant management teams.
• People management to lead restaurant teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Restaurant Managers, Shift Leaders, and team members while fostering a positive, high-performance work environment and building future leaders.
• Oversee restaurant operations including staffing, scheduling, onboarding, training, and ensuring policies, food safety standards, and procedures are followed.
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience by modeling service standards and resolving guest concerns quickly.
• Manage financial performance by controlling labor, inventory, cost of goods, and operating expenses based on sales trends.
• Drive restaurant success through team communication, community engagement, and local marketing initiatives.
