Job summary

HUHOT in Dubuque, IA is seeking a General Manager to lead all restaurant operations, drive sales and profitability, and ensure exceptional guest experiences. You will own the P&L, overseeing service, food quality, safety, and daily team performance while modeling company values.

You will recruit, coach, and develop Assistant Managers and staff, uphold health codes, and partner with district and corporate leadership to execute strategic initiatives and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lead a multi-unit operation, develop leaders, and drive guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for all restaurant operations including service, food quality, cleanliness, and team performance.
• Set and communicate restaurant goals for sales, profitability, operations, and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure outstanding guest experiences and promptly handle guest concerns.
• Oversee daily operations, actively participating in FOH and BOH as needed.
• Drive P&L performance including labor, food cost, controllables, and sales growth.
• Analyze financials daily/weekly/monthly to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Forecast sales, create schedules, and manage productivity using systems/tools.
• Maintain controls: cash handling, inventory, and loss prevention.
• Ensure FIFO, proper ordering/receiving/storage/preparation of food.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and health codes.
• Ensure compliance with regulations: wage/hour laws, OSHA, ADA, etc.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Lead marketing and community engagement initiatives to drive traffic.
• Develop and coach Team Members and Assistant Managers.
• Partner with District Manager and corporate leadership on strategy.
