Job summary

Steak 'n Shake is seeking a General Manager in Frisco, TX to lead a single restaurant team and drive operational and financial performance. You will coach managers and associates, ensure adherence to Gold Standard service, and manage labor, food safety, and guest experience.

Your role includes developing the management team, delivering key metrics, and making hiring and disciplinary decisions to protect brand standards while maximizing cash flow.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Certified in Service and Production Stations at Steak ’n Shake or equivalent experience.
• Understand Steak ’n Shake policies, procedures, state laws and health codes.
• Ability to read, write, perform basic math and analyze data.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.
• Able to work in excess of 50 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment of sales growth through guest focus and adherence to procedures.
• Identify, train and develop Trainers, Shift Managers, Managers and Restaurant Managers.
• Develop and motivate the management team to deliver objectives; delight guests, reduce costs, improve quality.
• Train, coach and inspire associates to deliver exceptional service, food and environment.
• Lead restaurant team to deliver on metrics and financial expectations.
• Manage all restaurant costs to deliver positive cash flow.
• Maintain compliance with food, health, safety, and security standards.
• Recruit and hire, ensuring candidates meet the 3 I’s: Intensity, Integrity, Intelligence.
• Drive labor management through scheduling and workforce optimization.
• Ensure all hiring and discipline decisions are compliant and fair.
