Job summary

Workstream in Boston is seeking a Restaurant General Manager to lead daily operations and shape an outstanding service culture through strong team leadership.

You will hire and develop staff, schedule shifts, manage budgets, and ensure consistent food quality and guest satisfaction. A 50-hour work week and 18+ years old are expected; opportunities for advancement exist within the company.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in food service or retail with P&L responsibility
• 50-Hour Work Week
• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Basic computer literacy
• Reliable transportation
• Basic business math and accounting skills with strong analytical/decision-making
• Able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs for 80% of shift
• Competitive spirit and passion for excellence

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of the entire restaurant and build a strong team delivering great food and friendly service
• Hire, develop and train staff; conduct new hire orientation and training plans
• Schedule and deploy team; address performance issues; resolve customer issues; manage restaurant budget and financial plans
• Demonstrate leadership and communication skills with a track record of people development and a positive attitude
