Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Longview, Texas is seeking a General Manager to lead restaurant operations, train crew and managers, and ensure clean, safe, and efficient service while delivering a memorable guest experience.

You will open/close shifts, schedule staff, monitor inventory, and develop action plans to address sales trends, while upholding company policies and standards. This role emphasizes leadership and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; advanced business/restaurant management studies preferred.
• Minimum 2 years restaurant management experience, QSR preferred.
• Ability to work a 5-day week with 4 closing shifts or 4 days guaranteed, including nights and weekends.
• Knowledge of labor laws, health & sanitation, and staffing best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, monitor, and coach Crew/Team members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops.
• Direct and assign staff to meet service standards.
• Adhere to employee handbooks and company policies.
• Open and/or close the restaurant as required.
• Prepare and adjust staff work schedules to maintain staffing levels.
• Monitor inventory, place orders within budget.
• Maintain payroll and employment records.
• Foster customer-service focus and resolve guest requests promptly.
• Recruit and hire staff to achieve proper staffing.
• Prepare operational reports and develop plans to address sales trends.
• Develop and implement marketing plans.
