Job summary

Surcheros in Waycross, GA is seeking a General Manager who will lead the restaurant with a focus on people development and exceptional guest experiences. You will set culture, hospitality, and operational standards while driving financial performance.

You will recruit and coach a high-performing team, manage scheduling and labor, ensure food safety and a top-tier guest experience, and grow sales and community presence in the local market.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of restaurant management experience or equivalent.
• Proven leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
• Experience with hiring, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
• Strong understanding of restaurant financials including labor, food cost, and P&L management.
• Food Safety/ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain).
• Proficient with restaurant technology and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel occasionally for meetings or training.

Responsibilities

• Lead People: create a positive, respectful, and engaging culture; recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain top talent; develop managers and team members.
• Deliver an Exceptional Guest Experience: champion hospitality and maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, speed, and accuracy.
• Drive Restaurant Operations: oversee daily operations, ensure safety standards, staffing, and shift execution; maintain equipment and appearance.
• Own the Business: drive sales growth, profitability, labor control, food cost, waste reduction, and inventory accuracy.
• Build Your Community: represent Surcheros locally, support schools and fundraising, execute local marketing initiatives.
• What success looks like: build high-performing teams, deliver guest satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals, uphold safety and culture.
