Job summary

SSP America is hiring a Restaurant General Manager at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) to lead a high-volume, full-service airport restaurant.

You will oversee front of house and kitchen activities, focus on food quality, cost control, team development, systems, merchandising, and office management, with opportunities for bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
• 4+ years restaurant management in a General Manager role.
• Proficient in MS Office and POS systems.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize daily, weekly, monthly and yearly activities.
• Ability to interact with executives and diverse hourly team members.
• Proven track record resolving conflicts with clients, peers and reports.

What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, associate’s degree or equivalent coursework preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years restaurant management experience in a General Manager role required. Full-Service Restaurant General Management experience required. Culinary background is desirable.
• Proficient level of computer literacy, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
• Effective organizational maturity to prioritize daily, weekly, monthly and yearly activities.
• Ability to interact at all levels, including with executives, union representatives, and diverse hourly team members.
• Proven track record of resolving uncomfortable situations with clients, customers, peers and direct reports.
