Responsibilities of the Restaurant General Manager

• Work a 50+ hour week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Engage with the community and develop public relations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and communicate with Home Office staff as needed.
• Hire staff and plan schedules to ensure efficient operations.
• Supervise staff to ensure quality service, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Train employees using company tools and methods.
• Manage financial controls, including cash, expenses, and budgets.
• Handle customer complaints tactfully to maintain satisfaction.
• Evaluate staff performance and recognize achievements.
• Forecast sales and expenses to set realistic profit goals.
• Make sound managerial decisions regarding employee relations.
• Maintain records and reports as required by law and company policy.
• Develop Assistant Managers and Trainees for growth.
• Ensure a safe environment for all.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
