Jackie's International, Inc. is a Mississippi-based and family-owned hospitality company with corporate headquarters in Canton, MS. We are currently hiring for restaurant general managers and assistant managers with stable job history. General Managers should plan and direct all restaurant operations, maintain high standards of food, service, health and safety, ensure the efficient and profitable business performance of the restaurant, and the optimal utilization of staff and resources.

Main Job Tasks And Responsibilities
  1. Set operating goals and objectives
  2. Assess staffing requirements and recruit staff when needed
  3. Train and coach staff
  4. Prepare and implement standard operating procedures
  5. Manage staff performance in accordance with established standards and procedures
  6. Ensure staff know and adhere to established codes of practice
  7. Organize and monitor staff schedules
  8. Maintain employee records
  9. Coordinate restaurant operations during each shift
  10. Monitor adherence to health, safety and hygiene standards in kitchen and restaurant
  11. Interact with customers and advise on food and beverage choices
  12. Oversee food and beverage preparation, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards
  13. Observe food portion sizes and preparation quantities to minimize waste
  14. Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly
  15. Reconcile restaurant receipts with sales and ensure accurate cash management
  16. Set and monitor budgets, implement cost-cutting measures, and oversee sales and revenue planning
  17. Prepare and analyze management reports, identify operational improvements
  18. Manage inventory, supply orders, and quality of deliveries
  19. Arrange maintenance and repairs of equipment and services
  20. Identify and evaluate competitors
Knowledge And Experience
  • Preferred tertiary qualification
  • Previous experience in food and beverage management
  • Deep knowledge of food preparation and presentation
  • Experience in staff management and development
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial data analysis
  • Knowledge of planning, forecasting, and inventory control
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications
