Job summary

The Yorktowne Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is seeking friendly servers to welcome guests and ensure a smooth dining experience.

You will take orders, deliver food promptly, help guests with menu questions, and keep tables clean and ready for the next party. Openings on the AM and PM shifts, part time, with teamwork and reliable service at the core of this role. Prior food service experience is desirable and a high standard of guest care is expected.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, take orders, serve promptly, and accommodate special needs or requests

• Restock and clean as instructed, including side work for opening/closing of the restaurant
• Understand menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to answer questions and provide recommendations

Qualifications

• Possesses strong, organizational and time management skills
• Prior food service industry experience is highly desired
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification (GED)

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, take food and beverage orders from diners, serve orders promptly, and accommodate any special needs or requests
• Collect correct payment from guests and ensure that the guest check and method of payment are accurate to safeguard both the client and the business from mistakes in transactions
• Attend all pre-shift and departmental meetings to improve communications and develop an understanding of products, services, and facilities

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials so that you can respond to client questions and provide recommendations
