Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Specialist to oversee preventative maintenance and upkeep of restaurant facilities.

You will coordinate with the Facilities Manager, conduct monthly site visits, and develop maintenance plans for cooking equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration systems. You will train restaurant teams on maintenance procedures, ensure compliance, and provide detailed recap reports to leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong trade knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, commercial cooking equipment, appliance repair and basic HVAC/refrigeration.
• Rules and regulations governing facilities safety requirements.
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple schedules to meet timelines.
• Clear, patient communication and training of facility maintenance concepts.
• Valid driver license with ability to travel between restaurants.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facilities Manager by supervising facility aspects of restaurant management at market level.
• Perform facility maintenance and repairs through monthly site visits and analysis of restaurants.
• Formulate preventative maintenance schedules for safe, efficient operation of restaurant facilities.
• Carry out procedures when facilities malfunction or pose safety risks.
• Provide training to staff on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Ensure staff follow maintenance practices and document compliance.
• Provide maintenance visit recaps to Operations Team and Regional Facilities Manager.
• Identify issues affecting M&R and capital reinvestment costs and communicate to leadership.
• Maintain and update facility records for restaurants.
• Perform equipment and building repairs, including during emergencies.
• Support new store turnover, 90-day and 1-year walks with Contractors and Operations Team.
• Serve as liaison between restaurants, landlords, contractors, and vendors.
