Job summary

UNC Charlotte Marriott, managed by Sage Hospitality, is recruiting a General Manager of Food and Beverage to lead all F&B operations on campus. You will oversee banquets, culinary and restaurant outlets, ensuring superb service, high-quality menus and strong revenue performance.

The role requires a four-year degree and 4–5 years in related hospitality leadership, with a proven ability to drive growth, manage budgets and develop a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food & beverage/hospitality profession.
• Demonstrates highly developed communication skills to negotiate, influence and lead.
• Strong capability in budgeting, forecasting and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the General Manager of Food and Beverage operations, including banquets, culinary and restaurant outlets.
• Ensure high food quality and service levels while maximizing revenue and controlling costs.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, marketing plans and sales opportunities across departments.
• Lead recruitment, coaching and performance reviews across the team, ensuring compliance with SOPs and safety standards.
• Market outlets, menus and promotions within corporate guidelines to capture more guests and market share.
• Maintain sanitation and maintenance of food/beverage areas and equipment to protect assets.
